A home has many moving parts and at some point, something is bound to fail. Our breakdown coverage is designed to protect the items not typically covered by a homeowners’ insurance policy, in one affordable package. HOW IT WORKS

There are no age restriction on homes, systems or appliances, and a pre-inspection is not required. You choose the items you want to cover – just appliances, or home systems or a combination of both. You can choose your deductible and the number of items you want to cover. Make payment and receive your policy documents instantly. This coverage is a stand-alone policy and does not need to be bundled with your home insurance policy. Claims through this coverage will not affect your home or condo insurance policy.
COVERAGE DETAILS
- Customize your own coverage package
- Coverage up to $10,000 for the repair or replacement of your home or condo’s appliances or home systems after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired
- Two repairs per item within a 12-month period
- For items up to 5 years old, we replace with like kind and quality
- For items older than 5 years and cannot be repaired, the policy will provide the greater of $500 (systems) or $250 (appliances) or the manufacturers last known list price for the parts needing replacement
- Any claim you make will not affect your home or condo insurance policy
- No pre-inspection
- No age restrictions
- One easy payment via credit card
- Deducible options of $0, $50, $75 or $100 (payable by the customer at the time of a service call)
- 12 month renewable policy term
- Appliances & Systems being covered need to be in place and in proper working order on the effective date of coverage
- 15-day waiting period applies (policy is effective 15 days after the enrolment date)
- Policy premium will vary depending on the type & number of items selected for coverage
- 10 day after the effective date “cooling off” period to return policy for a full refund

We’ll do our best to repair your items, but there are times that we will not be able to. Your policy provides coverage for replacement or a cash settlement, where applicable.
